No Strings Attached
Catherine Legg and Gwendal Moële are an Anglo-French duo bringing their own lyrical, a cappella harmonies to folk songs from the British Isles and France – Brittany in particular. Singing in English, French and Breton (and other languages that take their fancy), they prove that traditional themes have remained constant across countries, cultures and musical styles.
No Strings Attached have sung at venues large and small in Suffolk and Essex since 2010. Although more than happy to take to the main stage in their own right, highlights so far include singing as support for well-established folk acts such as Michael McGoldrick, The Churchfitters and the legendary Martin Carthy.
“No Strings Attached are quite exquisite. We first saw them at an Open mic/Singers night here and they blew us away. A mixture of French and British songs sung with beautiful harmony.” - Milkmaid Folk Club, Bury St Edmunds.
